Ik vroeg mij af of de formule van Moivre:
als de modulus 1 is: (cos$\theta$+i.sin$\theta$)n = cos n$\theta$ + isin n$\theta$
, waarmee je goniometrische getallen van 'n$\theta$' kunt uitdrukken in gon. getallen van $\theta$, ENKEL maar geldt als de modulus 1 is... Of geldt het in alle gevallen (modulus dus niet gelijk aan 1)?

De modulus van cos t + i sin t is inderdaad altijd 1 (Pythagoras). Een getal met modulus niet gelijk aan 1 is dan te schrijven als
z = r (cos t + i sin t)
zodat
zn = rn (cos t + i sin t)n
zn = rn (cos nt + i sin nt)
