De afstand BC is dus gelijk aan x.
De afstand SC is dan Ö(625+x²)
En de afstand CQ is 100-x
De tijd om afstand SC af te leggen is t1(x) = ^Ö(625+x2)/₂₅
De tijd om afstand CQ af te leggen is t2(x) = ^(100-x)/₁₀₀
De totale tijd is dan t(x) = t1(x) + t2(x) =
^Ö(625+x2)/₂₅ + ^(100-x)/₁₀₀

Bepaal de afgeleide en bereken voor welke waarde van x deze afgeleide gelijk is aan 0.

Je vindt x = 6.455 km

Vul deze x-waarde in in de functie t(x) en je vindt t = 1.968 u = 1u 58 min 7 sec.
